Paul Gerhardt was among the foremost of all Lutheran hymnwriters, writing over 120 hymns. Gerhardt lived a very difficult life, suffering through the 30 years war in Europe, loosing four of his children and his wife to sickness and disease, and even suffering for his faith. Join Pastors Rob Sauers and Nathanael Mayhew as they consider a few verses from this comforting hymn based on Romans 8:31-39!
