Word of the Week: Fornication

Word of the Week: Fornication

In our Word of the Week series on marriage, today we consider God’s warning against fornication. This is an important word to study and understand in our current “hook up culture” and in a society that encourages any behavior contrary to God’s will. This word is a broad word describing any sexual activity outside of the marriage relationship. Any such activity God expressly condemns as contrary to His will and as sin. Through this command God desires to protect the marriage relationship which is the mechanism He intends to use to give rich blessings to us.
